The Tiv people are an ethnic group that primarily reside in Nigeria’s Benue State, as well as in parts of Taraba and Nasarawa states. They are known for their rich cultural heritage, including their traditional dances and music.

In terms of clothing, the Tiv people traditionally wear brightly colored, hand-woven cloths known as “tengese.” Men often wear a traditional headgear called “ikpakpa” made of woven raffia.
